Community Programs

Giving back to the communities we serve.

Credit unions have a social responsibility to uphold the philosophy of “People Helping People” and to support their communities. But at Advance Financial, it’s more than that. You’ve allowed us to serve and be a part of this community for 79 years. We’re extremely grateful and, therefore, we want to give back. Through sponsorship and a variety of donations, charitable events, financial literacy education programs and unique partnerships with local businesses and organizations, Advance Financial is committed to a better Northwest Indiana.

The Advance Financial Scholarship Program awards one incoming freshman of an accredited college or university with a $750 scholarship for academic achievement, leadership activities and community involvement. Eligibility requirements and deadlines are listed on the application.

The Community Partner Program allows local, not-for-profit organizations to earn donations, just by encouraging their members to join Advance Financial. Qualifying organizations, including churches and clubs, will earn $10.00 for every member who opens an account on their behalf (minimum $50 aggregate deposit required).

Advance Financial offers a wealth of valuable benefits that can significantly add to your company’s employee benefits package at absolutely no cost to the company. Benefits like higher savings yields, lower loan rates and other low or no cost services. Advance Financial will also make on-site enrollment and educational visits to assist coworkers and answer questions.

In conjunction with the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE), Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and Bank on Indiana, Advance Financial has developed educational materials and age appropriate presentations to support financial literacy. We are proud to offer these presentations to all area schools and youth organizations.
